Cuteness at the Northeast Florida and Southwest Florida Nests!

Little baby eagles are so cute! They have a great ptz (pan, tilt, zoom) cam at the Northeast Florida nest. Look at that picture! It's like I'm inside the nest!

It was also feeding time at the Southwest Florida nest:

Second Egg at Berry College!

Right on time, Mom Berry laid the second egg. Yesterday shortly after 7:00PM, she laid the egg. That was 3 days and 2 hours after laying the first egg -- right on time. If she is going to lay another egg, it should be on Monday afternoon. In this s'cap, you can see she is once again in the hunched over position and her wings are loose. (If you are able to observe this on a cam, you can see her body moving as she is pushing the egg out.)

I don't know if you can tell, but here she's hunched over a little more. Her feathers along her back are a little more fluffed out as she hunches over. Her head is a down a little bit more with her efforts.

This is the first look at the two eggs.

Then she takes a big step back (giving the cam a great view of the eggs) so she can arrange the eggs for incubating. (It looks like she is stepping forward, but she brought the leg around and stepped back.)\

Yay!

First Egg At Berry College Bald Eagle Nest!

Congratulations to Mom and Dad Berry College! The first egg of the season was laid right before 5:00PM this afternoon! This first s'cap is of Mom laying the egg. She is in the typical egg laying posture -- her wings are relaxed and she's hunched over.

After she laid the egg, she moved around and we got our first look at the egg.

Egg laying is hard work. Mom is passed out tonight!

Let the obsession begin!
