Reese has posted an update for Bald Eagle Camellia. Shirley Yanello and Beverly Nettleton both got pictures of him, which Reese posted. You can see his antenna in some of the pictures. He's looking rough - he's molting now.
The dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico is the size of Connecticut. The dead zone forms in the summer -- the result of fertilizer run-off causing algae blooms, which consume all of the oxygen so nothing else can live there. Everyone needs to be careful to fertilize at the right time, using the correct amount of the right product.
