I found this story about a Bald Eagle that has a rare birth defect and is now fighting West Nile Virus. I've never heard of Bald Eagles with birth defects like this one. Amazing it has been able to survive...
The US Forest Service is seeking volunteers to help count Bald Eagles at Big Bear Valley in California. The count will be held this Saturday Feb 8th. Information about the count and the point of contact can be found here.
