The nest is pretty in the golden light of sunrise.
Here's another good look at the hole in the shell a little while later.
Here's a video from around noon when we got a really good look at the First Egg Hatching and got to hear it cheeping (1:51):
Here's a better look at the s'cap I used as a thumbnail for the video. Look at how smashed up the shell is:
The Africam Black Eaglet was relaxing in the nest this morning.
All three Dyfi Osplets were in the nest this morning. W2 was eating with W3 to the back left and W1 to the back right. Have you noticed over the past few days, there appears to be a green shotgun shell casing in the nest. Osprey love to bring everything to their nest!
Both of the Eaglets were at the Harrison Bay Eagle nest today. One was perched on the branch below the nest. It had to exit stage right when its sibling came in fast from the left.
The Eaglet made its way to the nest.
This seems to be a favorite perch.
Only one of the Scottish Wildlife Trust's Loch of the Lowes Osplets was in the nest this morning.
Look at the feathers coming in on the Soddy Daisy Bluebirds! One of the babies is holding its wings just right so we can see them.
They are starting to form the clover-leaf in the nest. I don't know why, but this is how the various clutches I've watched end up arranged.
