Berry College Eagles Day 55&57 Stretching and Flapping, Harrison Bay Eagles Day 11&13 Good Feeding & Bad Landing

These first two are actually from yesterday. I knew I had grabbed these s'caps yesterday, but couldn't find them when I did my post last night. In this first one, everyone is panting and one of the eaglets has its wing spread.

This one, I was trying to figure out if the babies are full grown yet. It's so hard to tell unless they are standing in the same way and the same distance from the cam... These babies are starting to look full grown.

Here's today's s'caps.
There were some lazy moments.

With some synchronized wing stretches:

This baby was wingercizing hard, catching some air.

Look at that impressive wing span!

HB8, on the left, got the majority of the food during this feeding at the Harrison Bay nest.

Afterward, they were sizing each other up.

This series of s'caps below is from a bad landing today. There is an entire nest to land in, with a very small portion being used by the puddle of chicks. And guess what happened? The first three are from three successive frames:

I skipped a frame or two to get to this next frame, which shows the parent is landing right on top of the babies.

Four seconds after the above s'cap and the adult is still trying to find a spot to step without stepping on the babies. Its foot kept coming down on the babies every time it tried to find a spot...

Two more seconds and still reaching back with that foot...

And finally the parent is able to shift its weight onto its right foot.
