Bald Eagle Ozzie, the male resident of the Southwest Florida nest, has been scrapping with M15, who is trying to become the resident male. Ozzie is back in the hospital with a broken toe on each foot and various other injuries. No other breaks though. I fear that he may lose his territory if he is kept away from the nest for another extended period of time. Here's a link to CROW's web site, the animal hospital where he is getting treatment.
I was hoping for a better view of the Harrison Bay Eagles than just this shot of one of the Eagles in the big pine.
I got my wish with first one in the nest tree...
...then both in the nest and working together (?) to do some nestorations.

The White-bellied Sea Eagle chicks come to the food now.
They are both filling out nicely.
Zoomer gave us some nice close-ups of the chicks.
What a pretty face. I can see why the adults are so beautiful!

I had a lot of cloud cover last night, so I only got a few pictures of last night's Super Moon Lunar Eclipse toward the end of the event:
I only got a few brief glimpses of it while it was red, and there were so many clouds I couldn't get any pictures during that phase. So check out this slide show of last night's Super Moon Lunar Eclipse.
The Africam Black Eagle Kendi was pretty active today. It won't be long before the nest will be empty.
There was some wingercizing.
And some contemplation of the world beyond the nest.

The other cam on the Big Sur Condor cam is the area when they put the carcass of a stillborn calf for the Condors to feed. Condors stay in groups, but there is a hierarchy. The Dad of the chick being raised on cam is the most dominant and gets to eat first and pick the best roost. Their wingspan can get up to 9.5 feet! In the bottom of the right hand corner, barely visible behind a Condor, is a carcass. That's why they are all congregating here.
They look like a bunch of bald little old men...
I think they are gossiping.
I finally saw a feeding! I was hoping that the recording I left running when I went to work had captured it so I could post video. But, I came home to find it frozen... But I'm going to try to get it posted tomorrow. (I've got a trick up my sleeve!) Here the baby's beak is in the parent's mouth who is regurgitating food. Condors don't have talons to carry food. They just have nails... You can help name this chick.
Dad Dyfi Osprey was sleeping with one eye open.
It was windy and he had to put his other foot down for balance, allowing me to confirm that this is Dad.
And he's off!

I saw one of the Harrison Bay Eagle parents in the tall pine, where it is spending the night. I wonder if they leave their territory once their babies have left or if they stay in the area year round...
The southern nests are getting ready to start a new season and it probably won't be much longer before they begin their nestorations for the new nesting season. It looks like some new sticks have been brought to the nest and are laying on top of the grass.
At the White-bellied Sea Eagle nest, we see the invention of the down pillow! So cute! Those feathers are coming in fast. They are going to look like completely different birds soon.
They were picking at each other a little bit, which I would expect when they are eye to eye like this.
I see some more pin feathers coming in.
Taylor Swift just released a new video. This is a still from her "Wildest Dreams" video. What bird is that? It's only shown for a fleeting second. Anyway, she is going to donate proceeds from this song to conservation in Africa. Nice! (This is a screen capture to show the bird. There is no video to play. There is going to be a Supermoon Total Lunar Eclipse on the evening of 9/27! This should be way cool! This is the first one since 1982 and we won't have another until 2033...
