The Africam Black Eagle Mom made a grand entrance after taking a short break from the nest.
Rabbit is on the menu today. You can see the rabbit tail and legs here.
The body of that rabbit looks like it would be too heavy for the eagle to get it to the nest. They must have some pretty good lift!
I love this moment with the Dyfi Osprey Mom and one of her babies.
Mom wrestled with this branch and pitched it right out of the nest.
On the way back to the other side of the nest, Mom tripped over one of the babies. Right in the middle of the nest, you can see one foot up...
...then as it rolled more, two feet up. Then it righted itself.
Dad came to the nest and went right to the nestovers.
Instead of leaving with it like I thought he would, he started feeding one of the babies when it looked interested.
He fed it quite a few bites. It's not very often that the Osprey Dad will feed the babies.
It started out a beautiful morning at the White Rock Eagle nest.
But later in the day it's wet. The nest it wet, the eaglets are wet, and the camera is wet...
I understand that the Harrison Bay Eaglet HB7 fledged today for sure. But the DVR has reset recently and I am unable to rewind and review the day...
