I saw the Africam Black Eagle chick squirm its way out from under Mom this morning. It was so cute!
The Dyfi Osplets are starting to escape the nest bowl.
The nest bowl isn't looking as deep. They tend to fill in as time goes by and they are no longer needed.
Mom settled back down on the nest, using her beak to scoop them back in.
The Harrison Bay Eaglets are enjoying the branches.
Dad made a grand entrance today, starting at top right.
And he brought a nice, big fish!
He hung out for a while with his babies on the Y branch.
I wish Mom had come for a visit. But this is still a nice family s'cap.
The babies played in the rain.
HB8 was comfy on the branch.
At one point, the eaglet went through all of the stretches. First the left wing and foot...
...then the middle...
...then the right wing and foot.
Then there was a crop drop before tucking its head under its wing again.
The chicks at the Scottish Wildlife Trust's Loch of the Lowes Osprey nest are filling up the nest bowl.
They were sleeping hard today!
Chicks in the nest are so funny, the way they try to get under Mom even when they are too big. You can see the backs of all three Osplets as they have all gone head first trying to get under Mom. The white stripe down the backs of two of them are obvious. The third white stripe is just in front of Mom's left wing.
So funny how they line up for food.
The crows were pestering the White Rock Eagle nest today. The parent is watching as one flies overhead.
Look at this bold crow!
But they can only harass the eagles for so long before leaving them in peace.
