I didn't sleep in so late today and was able to see the Africam Black Eagle chick a few minutes before the infrared cam switched on.
Still no hatch at the Berry College Bluebird cam. The eggs might not be viable...
Mom is still incubating her eggs.
The Dyfi Osprey were ringed (banded) the other day. They have a post about it on there blog. There's some really good pictures and a great video at the end of the post. Here's a link. They have named the Osplets (oldest to youngest) Merin (F), Celyn (F), Brenig (M).
The Harrison Bay Eaglets are still spending a lot of time at the nest. At one point, one of the parents came to the nest without food. Then it left. I think it was trying to get the chicks to come along and learn how to forage. They didn't...
These two eaglets are so close. The way they interact and play together is really something!
It looks like they have picked their perches for the night. They are both in the nest tree, but on different branches.
The Scottish Wildlife Trust's Loch of the Lowes Osprey nest looks a little blurry today. I'm not sure what's going on there...
I have finally figured out how to tell the Mom and Dad apart at the White-bellied Sea Eagle nest. See my post from yesterday... This is Dad.
And this is Mom. The beak line below the eye is much darker on Mom...
Look at that wing span! Fledge watch continues at the White Rock Eagle nest.
