Africam Black Eagle Day 54, Dyfi Osprey Day 50,52&53 Fledge Watch Continues, Duane Noblick's Photography

The Africam Black Eagle chick is changing every day. Look at those huge feet! I think they are full grown. They look about as big as Mom's feet.

I've got a ton of s'caps of the Dyfi Osprey. It was a fun day to watch them!

All three chicks are in this shot. The third is laying in the middle with tis head down.

The three babies are on the left. Mom is in the back right and Dad is in front of her.

Zoomer gave us some great close-ups.

I got a couple of nice family s'caps today. Mom is at the back left and Dad is furthest to the right.

They did some synchronized wingercizing today.

I put together a video of many of the helicoptering done by the chicks as they prepare to fledge. This s'cap is from that video. One of the chicks comes down square on the parent' back. The parent took it in stride!

The video I put together is over 15 minutes of them helicoptering and having interesting landings. As a result, it is taking forever to upload. It should be posted by 6:00AM... Here's a link to the Preparing To Fledge video (15:19). It's long, but fun to watch!

Duane Noblick has posted a new photo on the Norfolk Eagles Forum. Check out The Eagle And The Cross.

Nobody was home at the White Rock nest when I checked today. The Loch of the Lowes Osprey camera and the Harrison Bay Eagle camera were both down today.
