Africam Black Eagle Day 53, Dyfi Osprey Day 49,51&52 Over The Edge, Harrison Bay Eagles Day 113&115, White Rock Eagles Day 91&92

The Africam Black Eagle has more feathers growing in. This chick is going to look different every single day. I'm going to try to get a s'cap every day...

I have a lot of s'caps from the Dyfi Osprey nest since I've been keeping watch for fledge. In this s'cap, Dad is on the back perch and Mom is in the nest farthest from the camera.

There was some relaxing today. It was pretty blustery, so they weren't doing a lot of wingercizing. (And when they did, they got into trouble. But that's for later...)

The light was changing quickly with the weather.

The rain moved in and zoomer treated us to some close-ups. You can see how the rain beads up on the feathers, keeping the birds nice and dry.

Peeking out from behind some of the nest branches.

The Osplet with its head up was pulling water from the feathers of the chick laying in front of it.

Pretty face!

They are full grown now.

We got to see close-ups of their feet and bling.

I wouldn't want to be on the business end of those!

More bling for the other two...

They eventually stood up when it started to pout and shed some of the water off of their feathers.

More close-ups.

Their feathers are beautiful

We even got to see a close-up of one of the parents on the back perch.

There was a little mishap today at the nest. Osplet W1 was wingercizing and overshot the edge of the nest. It was touch and go for a few seconds: tumble out of the nest or recover... There was a lot of flapping as the Osplet hung on to the outside nest branches, and then... Well, watch the Over The Edge video (0:37):

The Harrison Bay Fledglings spent time together in the nest today.

It looked like they were going to perch together for the night...

...but then one left for the parent's pine tree...

...followed a few minutes later by the other.

Surprise, surprise! The White Rock Fledglings were snuggled together in the nest this afternoon. This nest is falling apart again this year, but they are making the most of what's left.

Eventually, they got up and left the nest. It was so good to see these Eaglets!
