Then it popped its head up and looked around... (Look at that foot!)
...and did a big stretch before going back to sleep.
It was a blustery day at the Dyfi Osprey nest today. Mom is in the nest and Dad is on the back perch.
Zoomer gave us some nice close-ups.
Mom came to the nest.
Then she was gone again... I'm happy whenever I can get faces, especially Osprey. They spend so much time preening...
One of the Harrison Bay Eaglets was in the nest trying to figure out how to eat a turtle. Then the sibling came along and they beaked each other in greeting.
Check out the Turtles and Siblings video (3:13):
And... guess where they are spending the night... I think they have developed a nice routine. I like knowing where they are spending the night and that they will start out tomorrow with their parents who will help them get their next meal.
It was a busy day at the Scottish Wildlife Trust's Loch of the Lowes Osprey nest. The parents are encouraging them to self-feed, leaving fish in the nest for them to make the attempt. There's a fish to the left and a fish to the right.
Here's a video of the Osprey in the nest watching the Fledgling that is flying around the nest. Watching Fledglings Fly is like being at a tennis match where everyone turns their heads at the same time (1:53). The thumb-nail is one of the Fledglings landing:
I also put together a video of several more of the Take-offs, Landings, and Self-feeding from today (5:51). The thumb-nail is one of the Fledglings taking off:
Just one s'cap of the White-bellied Sea Eagle from today. It looks to be a much nicer morning than yesterday...
Nobody was home at the White Rock Eagle nest when I checked on them today...
