Africam Black Eagle Day 57, Dyfi Osprey Day 53,55&56, Harrison Bay Eagles Day 117&119 HB7's Sad Day, Loch of the Lowes Osprey Day 61,63&64, Soddy Daisy Bluebird, White-bellied Sea Eagle, White Rock Eagles Day 95&96

The Africam Black Eagle is getting so big and has so many feathers coming in now!

I was treated to a family scene today. Dad is closer to the camera than Mom.

Look at that baby! It's standing up a lot straighter, but still has some balance issues...

Here, resting a wing on the ground for a few seconds. I like this s'cap because it shows off the feathers coming in.

Wind-milling here to keep its balance -- and giving a good view of the feathers coming in along the edge of the wing.

They were feeding when I left them.

Check out the Balancing Act video (1:45):

At the Dyfi Osprey nest, here comes Dad with another big hunk of grass or moss.

This is W3 Brenig coming...

...and going.

Celyn (W2) came to the nest.

Then Celyn left. There was much coming and going today. (And will be for a few weeks...)

The rain really started coming down.

But that didn't slow anybody down. Here's Mom making a graceful landing in the nest. She cried for Dad to bring a fish to the nest.

Dad is such a good provider. Mom just had to ask and Dad delivered! That's a huge fish!

Dad just dropped off the fish and took off.

The fish brought all of the Fledglings to the nest.

Here's Merin (W1). I got a good look at all of the babies today and they all seem to be doing well.

What a beautiful scene at the Harrison Bay Eagle nest. The tall tree in the center of the picture is where they like to perch when they aren't in the nest tree.

Later in the day, one of the Eaglets is perched there.

The Eaglet sees something and takes off.

It had seen one of the parents bringing a fish to the nest.

Both Eaglets wanted that fish and came barreling into the nest, hot on the heels of the parent. Check out HB7's Sad Day (6:08) to see how it went.

Later in the day, they both ended up perched across the way.

It looks like that is where they will be spending the night.

All three Osplets were in the nest this morning at the Scottish Wildlife Trust's Loch of the Lowes Osprey nest.

I checked in on the Soddy Daisy Bluebird nest today. Mom was incubating her eggs. I calculate that the eggs will probably hatch on 7/28. But I'm going to start hatch watch on 7/26, just in case.

I am sooo looking forward to seeing the babies hatch at the White-bellied Sea Eagle nest. Hatch watch starts in early August!

When I brought up the White Rock Eagle nest this morning, one of the Eaglets was perched at the nest.

But then it started doing that excited calling that means it has spotted a food delivery.

And it was off, flying almost directly at the camera, to claim the meal.
