Africam Black Eagle Day 102 Fledge Watch Continues, Big Sur Condor Day 115 Mini-wingercizing, Harrison Bay Eagles, Loch of the Lowes FR3 & FR4 Migration Update, White-bellied Sea Eagles Day 33 Windy Day

The Africam Black Eagle teased us with some more wingercizing today. No fledge... Maybe tomorrow.

That's a beautiful bird!

The nest looks pretty stark when the infrared camera turns on.

Wow! The Big Sur Condor looks like her wing is coming at us in 3D!

The light was really nice today for this feeding. You can see how far down the parents throat the baby is sticking its beak. I wonder if it triggers a gag reflex to help the parent regurgitate...

The Condor chick has such a huge wing span, it can't really wingercize inside the tree cavity. So it does a Mini-wingercize (8:40) which looks a lot like rowing or swimming. I also included video of the feeding bout.

One of the Harrison Bay Eagle parents stayed in the nest tree overnight.

There's a shadow effect when they perch in this tree. But that is both parents perched together.

Both parents have picked their perches for the night.

Their white heads and tails really stand out once it's fully dark.

There's an update for the Loch of the Lowes Osprey chicks FR3 and FR4. FR3 fledged first, but has stayed in France, having traveled 1037. FR4 has now flown farther (1144 miles!) and is in Spain. I've never followed migrating birds before and am fascinated with their travels!

It was very windy at the White-bellied Sea Eagle nest today. They sat up for feedings.

Otherwise, they were laying low...
