Berry College Eagles Day 52&54 Mantling, Harrison Bay Eagles Day 8&10 Wet Day, Africam Black Eagles Sleeping on the Nest

The chicks were so excited when they saw a parent coming to then nest.

But it wasn't a food delivery, just a big stick.

There was a food delivery later in the day. One of the chicks did an impressive mantle. I outlined one of the eaglets so you could tell where the one farther from the cam was doing the mantle. The chick still waited to be fed, instead of taking the food and self-feeding. The one that mantled got fed first.

There was a moment when all four family members were at the nest together:

The eaglets had a cute snuggle moment, one chick using the other as a pillow:

They are starting to self-feed. here, the chick is standing on the food and tearing pieces off.

It was a wet day at the Harrison Bay nest. Mom looks pretty saturated at this point.

The babies look pretty dry.

Mom is still soaking wet tonight.

This is third night the female at the Africam Black Eagle nest has spent on the nest. Maybe we will see an egg soon!
