Nest Cam Round-up: Hays, White Rock, Two Harbors, and Berry College Bluebird

There hasn't been any sign of B3 at the Berry College nest since Saturday. I suppose we may have seen the last of her... It's always bittersweet, the literal empty nest. But we all wish her the best as she becomes an independent Bald Eagle! And we look forward to watching it all again next year.

It was after dark by the time I checked in at the Hays nest. All three eaglets were awake and in the nest tonight.

The close-up cam at the White Rock nest is down for the count. I'm so disappointed! At least the wide-angle cam was back today... It looks like one of these babies is bigger than the other. That means we have a male and a female (with the female being the larger eaglet).

There's a neat video out of the two adults interacting at the Two Harbors nest. Towards the end of the video is one of the adults sneezing. I've never seen or heard a Bald Eagle sneeze... And it ends with a nice fly-away. And I found this nice video of K43 exploring her territory on Tuesday. She was fascinated by the camera equipment!

Check out the Berry College Bluebirds! They are getting so big so fast. I'm going to have to do a collage -- it makes it so much easier to see the growth when you can compare the pictures side-by-side. Here's my s'caps from today. Look at all of the feathers coming in in perfect little rows:

Here's a wing stretched out. Look at how big it is!

Grasshopper snack!

Tonsil check!

This is quite a few hours later, and they look different from earlier today! Darker with more feathers. And look at how long the beak is on the baby on the left toward the top... I expect to see a lot more contour feathers tomorrow.
